The Closer

Lola is a bit on the slow side when it comes to eating. Or rather, it's not that she is a particularly slow eater - but she takes a while to get going. As a result, it is not uncommon that that we are still sitting at a restaurant, long after everyone has finished, the check has been paid, and our friends have to leave.  It's part of her Six Phase Restaurant Dining Plan.
Phase 1: Begin to eat side dish while refusing main dish
Phase 2: Stall, play, want a cuddle, use the potty, play with silverware
Phase 3: Demand dessert while still refusing main dish
Phase 4: Eat entire dessert
Phase 5: Begin to eat main dish
Phase 6: Insist on eating every last bite of main dish even though everyone else is gone and mommy would really rather throw everything in a to-go box and take it home.

Here we are in Phase 6 at a recent lunch at Corona's with some friends.
