Gigi, avert your eyes

It was raining and cold (no outdoor activities) and Sunday in the Bible Belt (no indoor activities) and we had to get out of our house. So we went to the Humane Society. Surprisingly, they actually encourage bringing your kids to simply play with the puppies and kittens. I guess they figure moms will have a hard time pulling their kids away (kicking and screaming) from the sweet baby animals without adopting one. Not this mom.

She cried all the way home, asking when she could have a kitten. I told her when she turns 22. She said, "no! 21!" Fine - it's a deal.

Lola's favorite game is hiding when she hears Ben come home from work. Here was last night's hiding spot. See if you can find her.

Oh, Publix

You try so hard; I appreciate that. And I can't tell you how much it means to me that you carried matzah during the appropriate season this year. However, I could have told you that the bulk 5-pack would not be a big seller in Mauldin, SC. And it doesn't matter how low you mark down the price post-Passover . . . those puppies aren't going anywhere.

At least she's honest

Lola: Do you want to play with a poodle?
Me: sure.
Lola: here you go

Me: This one looks likes its missing its head.
Lola: Yeah. It popped. That's why I gave it to you.
