Mo Money, Mo Problems

Lola's new favorite game is to take coins and put them in her flower bank. She asks what every coin is before dropping it in and we are fast running out of spare change around our house. Today she woke up from her nap a bit cranky and when I asked her what was wrong she cried, "I need money."
Don't we all, junior? Don't we all.

Paradox

Being sick at the same time as your little one has two distinct and contrary effects:
1. You have infinitely more patience for her because she feels like you feel.
2. You have infinitely less patience for her because you feel like she feels.

Stickers

They are her absolute favorite thing to play with. And we have become THAT family that has sticker remnants on everything from our carpet to the soles of our shoes. We try to maintain that stickers ONLY go on paper - but she couldn't resist this canvas!

Mommy is jealous.

Let's face it. Sometimes we all just want to curl up on the kitchen floor and take a little break.

Pinkalicious

This afternoon we read the book Pinkalicious and then made our own homemade pink cupcakes (Not from a box! Big day for me!) Lola needed to taste each one to make sure they met out strict quality standards.

Passing the buck

This conversation happened in my kitchen while Ben was helping me unload the groceries.

Lola: "daddy go play" (which means "daddy come play")
Ben: "I can play in one minute, sweetie; I'm helping unload the groceries"
Lola: "mommy do it"
