Usually I have nothing but ranting to do about Delta SkyMiles. It seems that every time I want to use them, the flight I need costs 75,000 miles. Or, I'm booking the flight within one of 12 different 2 week windows which means there is an additional "fee" which costs as much as an actual ticket. Grrr. . .
But today, I have nothing but kind thoughts for the Delta SkyMiles program. As you can imagine, it's not easy to fly anywhere in or out of the Greenville Airport. And flying around Thanksgiving is notoriously expensive. But today, I booked 2 very reasonable, round trip tickets, direct flights, with no crazy additional fees, and no bizarre restrictions, so that we could spend Thanksgiving with family.
