I have several blouses that have a laundry tag which tells me to "lay flat to dry". Where do these laundry tag writers think I live?? The way I see it, you can't lay wet clothes on the carpet or else you'll have wet carpet and moldy clothes. The floor is out of the question since that would really defeat the purpose of washing the clothes to begin with. That leaves the dining room table (reserved for my tutoring), the kitchen table (reserved for collection and storage of mail), and the top of the washing machine (which is large enough for exactly one of the six wet shirts). Am I missing something? Surely I can't be the only person without a large, clean, solid, dry surface in my house.
