Apologies

Once upon a time I gave my sister-in-law Dana a hard time (in jest) because she never seemed to dress her child in clothes.

Then I had a baby who threw up. everything. after every meal. And I now realize how much easier it is to clean off skin (just wipe it up) than to change his nasty clothes 4 times a day. So Dana, I'm sorry.

Allen at 3 and 4 months

Better late than never.

 



Allen at 6 months

How fast can time possibly fly by?? "Little" Allen is now 6 months! Just a hair under 21 lbs (95%) and 28.75 inches (99%).  He LOVES his solids - so far we have tried squash, carrots, green beans, bananas, avocado, pears, and oatmeal.  He completely rejected my homemade green beans and squash - but then lapped up the jars of Gerber like it was going out of style.  He is super social and loves smiling and flirting when we are out and about.  Genuine belly laughs are easy to get and he's generally a very happy baby.  He is not yet rolling over - but the doctor attributes that to a combination of his sheer bulk and his laid back personality.  That's a lot of weight to be throwing around if you are pretty content just lying on your back :)  He is sleeping through the night (finally!) and taking decent (although erratic) naps.  Unfortunately the erratic napping is mostly due to Lola's schedule (school drop off, pick up, dance class) so there's not much we can do about that. He's a little dumpling and seems to grow more delicious by the day!

The princesses have moved into the dollhouse.



The dolls have been kicked to the curb, along with their furniture and pets.

Remember when

Remember when I told you I was making homemade babyfood for Allen and I said "we'll see how long this lasts"?

Well it lasted about 3 weeks.
