I'm here.
I know. I'm bad. I have pictures to post. A beach vacation to tell you about. A residency roast and picnic. Two birthday parties. Playdates at the pool. A vocabulary list that is quickly growing to over 50 words. Updates on sisters - both recently and almost mothers. An end of a job. Tutoring galore. And lots lots more. Sorry I've been MIA. No excuses. I'll be back soon.

Busy Busy
I know I've been a bit slack in keeping things updated . . . the month of May was a complete blur - the College Counseling office has a big part in all of the end-of-the-year-mishegas for the seniors. So needless to say things were a bit hectic leading up to graduation. Since I had to be at events every evening and Ben was on call, Rivi and Papa Doug (and Tony) came down for the week to help out. Honestly, we couldn't have done it without them. Lola is enamored with all three of them, and was saying "Rivi" and "Papa" by the time they all left (and of course, "puppy" - everywhere. everyday. wherever we went.) My last official day of work was Thursday - and strangely enough I had to go in on Friday and again on Monday to help interview candidates for the psych instructor . . . I'm the worst quitter ever. I gave my notice in AUGUST. Of 2010.
Lola continues to surprise us every day with her vocabulary and ability to repeat words back to us. The other day she sneezed and then said "blesshu". It's frightening. She LOVES the outdoors and is constantly asking to go "ahside". We had a pool party for Miss Bree today and Lola couldn't get enough of the pool. She also downed an entire slice of pizza and a Capri Sun juice box.
Next week she finishes her last week at the YWCA (day care) and we are so sad to leave. It's full time care, so it made no sense to keep her there, but we LOVE her teacher and we LOVE the program. Miss Cole is throwing her a going-away party on Thursday. And I'm hoping to take advantage of my week off and catch up on some much needed household chores and organization.
SAT Tutoring has really taken off and I'm pretty booked up for the summer. More details on that to come soon. Other than that we are simply trying to stay out of the heat and entertain our constantly moving and ever-curious daughter. Today we spent 20 minutes attaching a piece of paper to the fridge with a magnet and then taking it down again. I'm trying to figure out a way to put a slideshow of pictures on the blog instead of posting them individually. Hope to get that up later tonight.
